Join us for the opening of untame flow stay release — Sunday, 30 August, 12–5 p.m. at Temporary Gallery.

The exhibition brings together work by seven artists responding to unjust, environmentally harmful, and exclusionary structures. It turns the exhibition space into a place of shared joy and healing — with particular attention to the different needs of different bodies.

Programme:

At 1.30 p.m., curators Jussi Koitela and Aneta Rostkowska give an introduction to the exhibition together with artists Ren Loren Britton, Justyna Górowska, Anka Haller, Pia Lindman, and Jenni-Juulia Wallinheimo-Heimonen.

At 2 p.m., Justyna Górowska presents her performance Hydrosex Call. Audiences are immersed in an interactive virtual environment, where they encounter WetMeWild — a digital water nymph powered by artificial intelligence and trained by the artist herself. The figure draws on Slavic water spirits and serves as the artist's digital alter ego. Built using Unreal Engine, MetaHuman, and Convai AI, the piece creates an underwater world where organic and technological forms merge. Visitors can speak directly with WetMeWild and help shape the course of the performance. At its centre are questions of the water crisis, biodiversity loss, and the relationship between nature and technology. Sound design for the film is by Agata Polak.

Justyna Górowska (she/they) is a hydrofeminist and performer working at the intersection of art, technology, and activism. Since 2017 she has worked under the pseudonym WetMeWild, exploring water-related issues through AR and VR technologies. She is part of the collectives Nerdka and cyber_nymphs, and curates the Blue Humanities Archive, an online archive combining art and ecological water education. Górowska earned her PhD from the University of the Arts in Poznań in 2020, now lives in Kraków, and teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts and SWPS University.

At 3 p.m., an artistic culinary intervention by Rafael Andrade-Córdova follows. It reimagines food not just as nourishment but as a medium for exchange, access, and shared presence. Culinary practice, moving image, and spatial installation combine into a temporary situation in which eating becomes both an act of consumption and a form of participation. Within the context of the exhibition, the intervention explores landscape, circulation, proximity, and access — treating food as an infrastructure for encounter and shared experience.

Children's activities with Cane Adina Erzi run alongside the programme in our children's area.
