13 artists (duos) and two curators receive grants in the field of visual arts
Moderation: Maurice Funken, Director Neuer Aachener Kunstverein

At the end of the application period on May 8, 2024, a total of 203 applications were submitted by 85 men, one non-binary person and 117 women. Of these, 17 were concepts for curatorial projects. The applicants ranged in age from 1949 to 1998, with most applications coming from creatives aged between 30 and 40.

Curators:
Meryem Erkus, Nada Rosa Schroer

This year's jury was composed as follows: Ihsan Alisan (curator, Cologne), Céline Berger (artist, Cologne), Irene de Craen, (art historian/publisher, Berlin), Dr. Emmanuel Mir (art historian, Düsseldorf), Martina Sauter (artist, Düsseldorf). Nadine Müseler (consultant for visual arts, literature and new media) from the Cultural Office of the City of Cologne took part in the meeting in an advisory capacity, while Petra Gieler (BBK management) and Doris Frohnapfel (BBK board member) from the BBK Cologne cultural organization team were also present.
