Artist and curators talk as part of the exhibition "Autumn of Modernism II"

Gwenneth Boelens will provide an insight in her artistic oeuvre in conversation with the curator Lorenzo Benedetti. The artist deals with sculptural and material aspects of photography and the moving image, in which the image motif is not in the foreground but rather the phenomenological process of self-recognition and cognition. In the following talk curators Lorenzo Benedetti and Regina Barunke will discuss the development and background of the exhibition.

Gwenneth Boelens (born 1980 in Soest, The Netherlands) is artist of this show and lives and works in Amsterdam. Lorenzo Benedetti is guest curator of this show, director of De Vleeshal in Middelburg and commissioner of the Dutch pavilion at Venice Biennial 2014.
