A two-day weaving workshop with Nie Pastille on June 13 and 14 as part of her exhibition ins Himmelszelt es leuchtet leuchtend rot.

Nie Pastille weaves as part of her artistic practice. Using homemade looms and an old weaving loom in her construction trailer—which is on display as a temporarily relocated studio in the Temporary Gallery—she creates fabrics of various sizes, ranging from vibrant to delicately transparent, and from dense to permeable.

In this experimental, artistic workshop, Nie Pastille shares techniques and insights into her weaving methods and artistic approach. Over the course of the two workshop days, participants will build their own looms, tear yarn from fabrics and dye it, and develop free-form weaving projects. The exhibition space will become a temporary workshop, and Nie Pastille’s exhibited weaving studio will unfold into a space for collaborative artistic processes and experiments.

We are offering a children’s program in conjunction with the weaving workshop. This program is suitable for children ages 4 and up. The children’s program will take place partly in our new playroom, “Echoraum.” Please register for the children’s program, specifying your child’s age.

The participation fee is €20 per person. Participation is free for those 16 and under. This includes materials and lunch. Please register by June 5.

We look forward to your participation!
