A cooking session with Beni Tonka
Sun 10 September, 2 p.m.

Finissage of the exhibition Cooking as Performance
Language: English
No registration required

A live cooking show where the cook and author Beni Tonka shares stories and food with us.

Through cooking (and eating) together we will talk about home and belonging and how food connects people and creates spaces to share experiences. Migration, change, identity, family, Granma's food, and cooking in Trinidad and Tobago; all of that and a coconut bake and a tomato choka to share.

The last event of the exhibition "Cooking as Performance" is a get-together to celebrate and eat together.

Beni Tonka is the author of the cookbook "Good Lime: Karibisch & vegetarisch kochen" (2022), where he not only invites us to cook with his recipes but also describe stages of his life and frames his culinary experiences with biographical texts.
