In a special art project, fifth-graders created their own sculptures, each of them a unique representation of a character and how they navigate through culture. The aim of the project was not only to encourage creativity, but also to actively involve the younger generation in art and to explore the diversity of perspectives and questions around culture and accessibility with them.
The children used clay to create figures inspired by traditions and symbols.
The project impressively demonstrates that art knows no age limits. It gives the children the opportunity to express themselves artistically while learning about other perspectives. The resulting figures tell stories and show how different, but also how connected, the different perspectives of this world are.
