Workshop lead by Ana Manhey Ahrens in the exhibition Embracing the Fold by Kinke Kooi and Roland Schimmel.

We can hide in caves, water spreads everywhere and threads connect things.
Based on these three phenomena, we would like to approach the art of Kinke Kooi and Roland Schimmel. In their artworks, we can hide in the details, perceive how art is everywhere and feel the connection.
We want to learn together and from each other, grow and try out different artistic techniques.

Sign up to paint, draw, build and play in a group of 10 children as part of a 3-day workshop at the Temporary Gallery.

In the following, Ana will briefly introduce herself:

Hello, I'm Ana and I studied Cultural Studies and Art Education in Lüneburg and Hildesheim. I've been working in art education at the Museum Ludwig since March 2024. I have helped organize and run several vacation programs there. In my art education practice, I am particularly interested in art as a means of personal development and engagement with the world. I would like to encourage people to gain self-confidence through viewing and discussing art and their own artistic creations and to enter into an exchange with others. I would therefore like to invite you to come to the summer program at Temporary Gallery - I am looking forward to meet you!
